Clayton Conroy Roofing & Guttering is responsible for the personal information we receive through our Meta instant forms on Facebook and Instagram. This notice is for enquiries from people in the Republic of Ireland and explains your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Ireland’s Data Protection Act 2018, where applicable.

2. Information we collect
- Your name, phone number and email address, where requested in the form.
- Your location or Eircode, property details and answers about the roofing service you need, where requested.
- The form or advert you responded to, when you submitted it, and any contact choices you make.
We receive the details you submit, including any information Meta prefills that you choose to send. Please check those details before submitting. Required fields let us respond; without them, we may be unable to arrange your quote or inspection.
3. Your enquiry and permission to contact you
By submitting an enquiry, you ask us to contact you about the roofing service, quote or inspection described in the form. We use the contact details you provide to discuss your request, answer questions and arrange any agreed next steps.
Our legal basis for responding and preparing a quote is taking steps at your request before entering a contract. Where the form separately asks for your consent to a contact method or optional marketing, we rely on that consent for that purpose. Submitting an enquiry does not automatically sign you up for unrelated marketing.
You can ask us to stop contacting you, or withdraw any marketing consent, by emailing info@conroyroofingandguttering.ie or telling us when we contact you. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
We may also keep necessary enquiry records for our legitimate interests in managing requests and resolving disputes, and records required by law. These interests must be balanced against your rights.
4. Who receives your information?
Your details are available to the people handling your enquiry and providers supporting our communications and enquiry records. We may share relevant information with advisers or authorities where necessary for legal obligations or claims.
Meta also processes information when you use Facebook or Instagram, under its own Privacy Policy. This notice explains our use of the lead information we receive; it does not replace Meta’s notice.
5. Processing outside Ireland
Our service providers may process information within the European Economic Area (EEA) or in other countries. Transfers outside the EEA subject to EU GDPR must use an applicable European Commission adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses. Contact us for details of the arrangements relevant to your information and how to obtain a copy of applicable safeguards.
6. How long we keep information
Retention depends on why information is needed: handling an open enquiry, completing agreed work, supporting a guarantee, meeting accounting obligations or resolving a dispute. Relevant records may need to remain available after work is complete. Contact us for the retention criteria applying to your enquiry or job.
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for these purposes, then delete or anonymise it. Contact us to ask about your records or request deletion, subject to any information we need to retain by law.
7. Your rights in Ireland
Subject to the GDPR’s conditions, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal information. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and to direct marketing. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Email info@conroyroofingandguttering.ie to exercise your rights. We may need to verify your identity. Requests are normally free and must generally be answered within one month; if a permitted extension is needed, we will explain why within that month.
We do not use your enquiry to make solely automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
8. Concerns and complaints
You can contact us about a concern. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In Ireland, you can raise a concern with the Data Protection Commission, including about our response to a rights request.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this page when our services or information practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
