Answers to Your Questions
Repeated leaks, lots of broken tiles or worn lining can be reasons to look at a new roof. We check how much of the roof is affected before advising you. If a repair will deal with the problem, we will explain that option. If we recommend a replacement, we will show you the condition of the roof and explain why.
We list the work and materials, including the tiles or slate, lining, battens and lead. Scaffolding, waste removal and VAT are shown too. If we find hidden damage after removing the old roof, we show you what we have found and discuss the cost before doing extra work. This gives you a clear record of what you have agreed to pay for.
In many cases you can stay at home, though removing the old roof and fitting the new one will be noisy. Before we start, we explain the work schedule and where access will be needed. The roof size, weather and any repairs to the timber affect how long it takes. We will discuss how the roof will be protected while the work is underway.
Yes. Our new roofs come with a 12 to 25 year guarantee. The length depends on the roof and the work being done, so we explain what applies to your installation.
